Every month we ask our followers to submit their design questions and then we answer one in our email journal. For this blog post, we've decided to focus on one of the questions we didn't answer in our journal!
We love using cement furniture in our designs as it feels unexpected and pairs so well with other textures and colors. We're going to show you two takes on decorating around a cement table in an open plan living and dining area.
The first demonstrates a masculine Mid-Century Modern approach. Rich velvet mixes with warm wood tones, brass and dark leather. Moody vibes are balanced with a statement light pendant and neutral rug.

Drawing inspiration from Berber architecture and Moroccan design, the second open floor plan living/dining room evokes a sense of calm and connectedness with nature. The juxtaposition amongst the concrete table and Malawi chairs creates a textural flow that taps into all of the senses. A plush, faux mohair couch and silk pendant soften the space, while the Berber rug provides the grounding piece within this space.
